Professional Experience

Ms. Scott is a certified operator for Industrial Fluid Management holding a Class III license in water and wastewater in the State of Ohio. She specializes in operations of water and wastewater plants, plant maintenance which includes chemical analysis of water and wastewater, back-washing filters, monitoring performance of pumps, calculating plant production and chemical usage and making sure plants are in compliance with EPA regulations. With IFM since 2001, she is the Operator of Record for many plants and municipalities in NW Ohio.

Ms. Scott gained experience working as a village administrator, water plant operator and lab technician. for the Village of Sycamore. She was responsible for the daily operations of the water, sanitary sewer and electric, streets, park, storm sewer and swimming pool departments, including maintaining the inventory of each department and scheduling repairs and maintenance as needed. She also conducted the sampling, testing and reporting to keep the water and wastewater operations compliant with EPA regulations. Other responsibilities included hiring and scheduling of employees; participating in negotiations regarding the Village’s power contract; quarterly reconciliation of power cost and electric rates for the Village; working with contractors and engineers regarding planning, grant applications and implementation of projects; and assistance to the finance committee in the appropriation of a $2 million budget.

As a water plant operator for the Ohio American Water Company, Ms. Scott was responsible for the second shift operations of a 2 mgd surface water plant.

Ms. Scott also worked as a lab technician for Aqua T ech Environmental Labs.
